Jacob Smith, owner and founder of Hill Harvest Rainwater, was born with a passion for the outdoors. From an early age, he aspired to own and be steward to land in the Texas Hill Country for assurance that the rural lifestyle remain a preferred option for those who sought it.
Upon graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in Finance, Jacob spent 7 years in the community banking industry building relationships and offering financial solutions to individuals and businesses. After overseeing the remodel of his home and working with various folks on financing custom homes, he took a particular interest to construction, particularly water infrastructure given the uncertainty of groundwater from extreme drought and population growth.
Jacob left banking and set off seeking entrepreneurial risk, fulfillment, and a focus on stewardship of the land. Thus, he and his wife, Caitlan, founded Hill Harvest Rainwater in the Spring of 2024 as an option to homeowner's seeking a renewable, more reliable source of water in light of stressed water resources in and around the Hill Country. He employs modern construction solutions to convey this option to encourage ease of use and maintenance.
Our mission is simple yet profound: Building Sustainability, Drop by Drop. Hill Harvest Rainwater is a construction company first and foremost offering wholistic rainwater systems, meaning that our solutions must be practical, economically viable, and deployed in a concise, professional, and efficient manner. Harness the power of nature's bounty with our expertly designed rainwater collection systems. We specialize in installing systems that efficiently capture and store rainwater, providing an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative to traditional avenues for water infrastructure. Installation is just the start; we remain in contact for maintenance and repairs to keep your system at peak performance.
We offer fire tank design and installation services for assurance of access to water, particularly in rural areas far from the nearest fire department connection (FDC). Fire tank investment is recouped by your savings in builder's risk and general homeowner's insurance, making it a very attractive solution economically and practically with an FDC onsite.
Water well storage can be a want or a need depending on the capability of your underground water resources. Either way, the addition of this infrastructure ensures access to stored water in instances where the water source is inadequate or unavailable. Furthermore, a well ventilated system can prove to offset naturally occurring odors sometimes inherent of Hill Country groundwater.
Stormwater solutions can include a tank, or just the "conveyance" (i.e. vertical and horizontal water piping from gutters) to divert and manage stormwater from various types and sizes of structures. Doing so mitigates soil washout, damage to foundations, and rate of runoff during large rainstorm events.
Aqualine Water Tanks can be used structurally where the client is seeking an aesthetic similar to that of a silo type building. Applications are numerous: gazebos, concessions stands, standalone bathrooms, bed and breakfasts, cabins, and smokehouses, to name a few. Should you choose this use for the tank, the liner and standard water connections will be excluded from your purchase. We can provide affiliated builders to help with interior finish out and other design aspects for assurance that your dream becomes a reality.
At Hill Harvest Resources, we understand that each property is unique. That's why we offer personalized solutions that cater to your specific needs. Whether you're a homeowner looking to conserve water, a business aiming to reduce insurance costs, or a property developer in need of reliable waste management, our services are tailored to suit you.
